Born in Tehran, Bijan Sepanji has been gaining recognition as an active performer, educator and mentor throughout Canada, United States and most recently in Iran. He is a member of the Toronto Concert Orchestra and has performed at venues such as the Rogers Centre, Roy Thomson Hall, Toronto Centre for the Arts, many more. This year, alongside his professional string quartet - the Ton Beau - he has given masterclasses at the University of Toronto and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Bijan is also offering a workshop to the composition students of Tehran University in May 2018, together with the accomplished Iranian composer, Saman Shahi. In addition to mentoring university level students, Bijan has been involved with Sistema Toronto, an organisation that works with at-risk children and provides them with music lessons four days a week after-school.

Bijan performs on a modern violin crafted by one of Canada's foremost violin luthiers, Mark Schnurr who is based out of Flesherton, ON.
