Catherine was raised in Brant County. A member of the Brantford Symphony during that time, Catherine studied clarinet with Les Jarvis and Wes Foster, and piano and theory with Virginia Blaha. She continued her studies at University of Toronto in the studio of Avrahm Galper. A founding member of the Licorice Allsorts Clarinet Quartet, Catherine continues to perform throughout Southwestern Ontario. She teaches privately in St. George and is the church musician at Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
